HDi clutch change

$

Hi, I bought a HDi last November with a Stage 2 remap. The clutch started slipping so when I took it for a new clutch it appears one of the previous owners at some point had changed it to a pull clutch which I understand is from a Dturbo or GTi-6 model.

So I purchased the Larkspeed Stage 2 clutch but have been having real problems ever since, it judders really badly in first gear or reverse. The clutch pedal is sticky and also is really difficult to get into gear sometimes.

Im at a loss as to what to do next? Possibly change the flywheel? If so are GTi-6 flywheels different to the other models or are they the same across all models?

Or bite the bullet and change everything back to HDi spec? Although someone told me I'd need to change the gearbox if I did that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi Guys,

bash is fitting my diff and flywheel so best to do the clutch at the same time. ive looked on ECP and its £185 which seems more expensive than it should be. Any suggestions?

Also probably worth doing the gearbox bushes. Anywhere good to get them other than peugeot?

Cheers,
Sam

pump oil xud9te or xud11bte

Hello everyone

I have done the engine of my 205 this a 2.1 l engine with a cylinder head 8 s

The problem is that my oil pump does not give the right pressure value

Has 90 degrees

1000 rpm 1.2 bar

2000 rpm 2.4 bar

4000 rpm 4.2 bar

These are lower pressures than the manufacturer

Pressure manufacturer has 90 degrees

1000 rpm 2.25 bar

2000 rpm 3.15 bar

4000 rpm 5 bar

We see very well that my values are below.

I have a question is what some has happened if the pump has xud9 oil what goes up on xud11?

I explain to you the pump of the xud11 new only found in peugeot has a price of 310 euros.

While a xud9 pump I find it at a dealer has 130 euros.

Then the 2 oils pumps are compatible?

If they are not there is there another model that mounts on the xud11 block?

thank you in advance

Bonjour a tous

j ai refais le moteur de ma 205 cet un moteur 2.1 l avec une culasse 8 s

le problème s'est que ma pompe a huile ne donne pas les bonne valeur de pression

a 90 degrés

1000 tr/min 1.2 bar
2000 tr/min 2.4 bar
4000 tr/min 4.2 bar

ce sont des pressions inférieures a celle du constructeur

pression constructeur a 90 degrés

1000 tr/min 2.25 bar
2000 tr/min 3.15 bar
4000 tr/min 5 bar

merci d'avance

Report: Cars On The Green 2017

Sunday the 18th of June came around quickly. Too quickly for bash to have Queeny the phase 1 kingfisher dturbo ready for action. With tickets prepaid and the stand booked we ended up with two spare spaces, one where a member was uncontacable and never arrived and secondly where DumDum was completely incapable of correctly setting an alarm to get up earlier enough to make the trip.

For those who had remembered and were able to release themselves from their duvets we rocked up at Bashs house at 9am. Orta was the last to arrive and since last show season the black steelies were now blue, the new and upgraded rear beam was higher and the new front shocks were extremely low. So low in fact that the slight hump of country roads was too much and almost certainly resulted in membership of splitter scuffers.

A quick trip to the local tesco (other supermarkets are available) to stock up on snacks and factor 50 sun cream for what was bound to be a rediculous day. Orta was in the middle of the group so immediately after leaving tesco the convoy was split up into two whilst a moderate speedbump was navigated. Arrival at Nowton park resulted in lots of queuing. The temperature gauge hit 90 and I waited for the OMEX ECU to trigger the fans into life. 100 came and went and they still hadnt come on however what did come on was the stop light. It wouldnt be a proper car show if the rallye wasnt broken in some kind of way!

All parked up and leaving windows down (because there were better cars to steal) we walked around the show taking in the sights of what other people had decided to dedicate their lives and money to either restoring or fitting lexus lights to. "Rims and Air" was the standard amongst the audi and vdub fraternity.

Having seen the show we headed for food. Burgers, chips, drinks all purchased at vast expense. Lu even enjoyed a foot long (for the second time that morning - apparently).

After eating we went on hunt of shade around the rest of the park. Joe chose where we sat as he knows a lot about grass. We also went around the maze where I definitely didnt just walk through several of the walls.

Next up we all trekked off to see a giant panda which turned out to be only slightly larger than lifesize. But a good photo opportunity none the less.

Following this we returned to the cars, got some group photos and drove through the tape into the public car park in order to leave early. For anyone attending the show in the future definitely get your icecream from the park cafe as its way cheaper and there is also a super cold tap so you dont have to buy bottles of water. Also be sure to actually take what youve bought off the counter unlike bash.

Bleeding Brakes With Peugeot Planet

Hi

Just wondering if anyone's used Peugeot Planet to bleed their brakes on P3's? Do I need to pressurise the system first with a pressure bleeder or can I just crank open the bleed screws as instructed?

Thanks
Tom

crushed my S16 before i even produced my V5

So had an introduction to a dry stone wall the other day. Smashed my cyclone and ripped my driveshaft out of the engibe and left it in 3 pieces on the road. Anyway I got recovered and dropped it at the scrapper at 10pm.  I rang them the next day, and stated that I wanted to take the three good cyclones off as well as my sparco steering wheel boss, a brand new door seal and the S16 rocker cover which I was gonna powder coat and hang in my shed. They said no problem and when I took the V5  in, they would give me some money for it. I went this afternoon to take said bits off car and they said it was "gone"!

"Gone where" I asked.

"Crushers, loaded it last night" they replied.

So I ring the crushers, hoping and praying they haven't crushed it yet.

Sadly, they crushed it this morning.

Furious at this point, but kept my cool.

My question is, was it legal for them to crush my car when I didnt sign the V5 over to them?

so technically I still own a nice sigma blue metal cube somewhere in Nottingham

306 GTi/Rallye lowered front suspension

Guys,

Picked up some original Rallye springs and dampers this morning so the lowered suspension on the resto Rallye can come off.

I believe (although can't be certain) they are original shocks with lowering springs. Kerry told me when I bought it it had been lowered by 40mm which looks about right. Not sure of the brand of springs. Can't see anything on them, they are just plain black. Includes top mounts.

This is how the car looked with them on...

306 2.0 XSI Values

Hi.

New member here.

I am after a bit of information on the values of 2.0 XSI's.

There appear to be hardly any for sale.

Obviously I understand they will never be as desirable as the GTI6 but roughly what are they worth.

I have a Silver 1998 2.0 3dr XSI.

It has 112k.

It has a full service history (pretty rare from what i've seen).

It was owned by the same family from new up until this year.

It has just had a full service including spark plugs, oil & filter, air filter, fuel filter and a coolant flush.

It drives absolutely faultlessly.

Bodywork wise it is far from perfect. Your usual dints, lacquer peel etc. It would make a great base for somebody that wanted to make one perfect. I bought it due to the history the car has and how well it drives. It has clearly been very well looked after mechanically.

Roughly what would it be worth? They are pretty hard to value with there being so little of them for sale.

I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts!

Trying to have a bit of a sort out of bit etc that i don't have any use of. I'll add bits as i keep finding them i expect. I can bring bits to pugfest and FCS this year. I am also happy to post at an extra cost.

Baker BM adjustable top mounts used £100
Lower strut brace used and has a few dings etc and paint scraped off but will still do its purpose £20
Red powerflex bottom engine mount used, not the latest edition but they have lifetime warranty £15
Used blue deep dish steering wheel (was the one on my estate when i bought it) £15

All prices are ono and i can sort pics if needed. I do have a lot of 306 spares so if there is some bits you're after don't be afraid to ask as i can see what i've got.
